Welcome to Stampede Park... Welcome back to another exciting season of racing action at Stampede Park. This guide is intended to familiarize you with general information about Stampede Park and the services that are available to you as an owner. We wish you an enjoyable and successful racing season. Admission Stampede Park offers free admission to all live and simulcast racing on track. The Grandstand is open Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and holiday Mondays for simulcast and live racing. Clubhouse Restaurant The Clubhouse Restaurant is pleased to offer licensed owners a 20% discount daily on all menu items. To receive your discount Clubhouse simply produce your valid HRA owner’s credential to your server when dining in the Clubhouse. Clubhouse Reservations Reservations for the Chinook Dining Terrace can be made by calling 261-0120. Reservations are accepted starting each Monday morning at 8:30 a.m. for the following week (including Holiday Mondays). For major stake race days such as the Alberta Derby, we do our utmost to accommodate all requests for reservations however, preference is given to the owners and guests of horses participating in these races. Companion Passes As an HRA licensed owner you are entitled to receive one season companion pass. Companion passes allow access to the stables, which is a highly restricted security area. For this reason companion passes are non-transferable. Companion passes are issued at the main Race Office. Condition and Stakes Books Stampede Park will upon request, place you on a list to receive each issue of our Condition and Stake books as they become available. Please contact the Owners liaison to have your name added to our mailing list. The Gift Horse Don’t forget to check out what’s new at The Gift Horse. Located on the main floor of the Grandstand, the Gift Horse is a store specializing in unique items for the horse lover. The store will be open during live racing hours so you may browse for those one of a kind items at your convenience. As a licensed owner you will receive 20% discount on purchases excluding tobacco, confectionary and lottery. Just show your HRA license to the cashier to receive your discount. Horsemen’s Bookkeeper The Bookkeeper’s office is located in the main race office at the south end of the Stampede Park Grandstand. The Bookkeeper’s office is open Wednesday and Friday from 4:00 p.m. until the conclusion of the last race. Weekends and holidays the office is open from 10:00 a.m. until the conclusion of the last race. For your convenience, cheque requisition drop boxes are located in the Backstretch Race Office and in the Horsemen’s Bookkeepers Office. Through prior arrangement with the Bookkeeper you may also choose the option of sending cheque requisitions via e-mail. To activate this service please contact the Bookkeeper during office hours to make arrangements. Subject to HRA regulations, purse money is held for 72 hours following the race. Stampede Park on the Internet We invite you to check out Stampede Park’s Internet site at stampede-park.com. The Stampede Park racing site is always evolving to bring fans accurate and up to date information. Out site carries scratches and changes, entries, results, workouts, stakes schedules, condition books and racing programs. Can’t make it to the track? Licensing Horse Racing Alberta is located in the main Race Office at Stampede Park (20 minute parking is available) and is accessible via the 25th Avenue entrance to Stampede Park. License applications and renewals are processed every live racing day from 8:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. For information regarding licensing hours please call 543-8951 or toll free in Alberta 1-888-553-7223. HRA on track licensing office - 261-0224. Owners Parking Owners with a current HRA license are provided free parking in the owners Lot any racing day at Stampede Park. The owners lot is located on the south end of Stampede Park just off the 25th Avenue entrance and is open Wed. and Fri. at 5:30, Sat., Sun., and Holiday Mondays at 12:30 p.m. Stampede Park Raceline Stampede Park provides scratches and results for all live and North American simulcast wagering. Scratches for live racing are available racing days after 10:30 a.m. Simulcast tracks are available 1/2 hour to post time. Results are recorded immediately following the running of each race. Coady Photo offers state of the art digital professional photography, located on the main floor of the Grandstand just inside the receiving entrance. Horse Owners Liaison Stampede Park is please to offer a variety of services to meet horse owners needs. Carole Larson is our owner’s liaison and is happy to accommodate any special requests for licensed horse owners. She can be reached by leaving a message at 261-0220. Carole will return all messages between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays, so please ensure that you leave a number where you can be reached at those times. In order to accommodate all requests, owners are asked to contact the liaison at least two days prior to your visit so that we may ensure all arrangements can be made to your satisfaction. Owners Mentoring Program Stampede Park is pleased to offer our Owner’s mentoring program again this year. If you have a guest that has never been to the track that you would like to host, we have a special program just for you.
