A T.A.B. account is a convenient way to play the races when you can't attend in person. Full pari-mutuel prices are paid on your wagers and your winnings are instantly credited to your account. Individuals 18 years of age and older with a permanent address in Alberta may open an account by submitting a T.A.B. Account Application in person to the Race Office or by mail to the address indicated below. A minimum deposit of $50 is required to open a T.A.B. account. T.A.B accounts are for the personal use of the account holder and they are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of their account numbers and code names. Therefore, account holders are responsible for all bets placed by any person using the correct account number and code name until notice has been received in writing to Stampede Park that the account is closed. Deposits may be made in person at the Race Office, the Grandstand during racing hours, Off Track Betting locations, by mail, or by credit card (please see T.A.B credit card transfer form). Withdrawals must be made in person during racing hours with photo identification or by mail with a withdrawal slip signed by the account holder or their legal representative. T.A.B. phone lines will open 1 & 1/2 hours prior to post time for live racing and 20 minutes before post time for simulcast racing events. T.A.B. is open for all North American simulcast products carried by Stampede Park. To place your bet call 261-0560. The operator will ask for your account number and your code name. When given correctly she will tell you your account balance and ask for your bets. The operator will read each of your bets back to you so that you may verify them as being correct. Please ask for your bets by horse name if you do not have an official Stampede Park program as there are often changes. Please specify which track you want and place your bets by giving the race number first, then the dollar value, the type of bet and the horse name and number. When a dispute arises as to what number or denomination was requested, the tape recorded transaction data will be restated back and verified by the caller as correct and shall be considered the actual bet. You may make bets against your account balance more than once if you wish, however, credit betting is not allowed. Accounts are credited with winning tickets immediately after the race is official. Account holders will be informed of scratches and driver/jockey changes if requested when placing your bets, but the operator will not be permitted to give odds or results of previous races. However, you may receive your account balance at any time. Stampede Park requires a minimum of $2.00 for win, place or show bets; $1.00 bets are permitted on most feature races as long as you spend a total of $2.00 on that feature. Any claims must be made within fourteen days of a transaction. Printed statements of accounts will be provided only upon request and will contain data to a maximum of twenty one days preceding the request. Stampede Park is not required to provide a statement more than once every twenty one days.
