Stampede Park is the site of live and simulcast horse racing twelve months a year. We are currently recruiting for our live racing season, which opens on Friday, April 1st and runs through to the middle of November. Currently we have the following positions available:
Hours of work: 0-25 hours per week, shifts vary
Wage: Starting at $10.45 per hour with increments based on hours worked and experience
Hours of work: 0 – 20 hours per week, Wednesday & Friday evenings, Saturday & Sunday afternoons
Duties: Provide outstanding customer service for Racing Patrons
Assist new fans with the intricacies of the sport of horse racing in the following areas:
· How to read a program
· How to make a bet
· Explain the different types of bets
· How to handicap a race card
Assist Racing Group Party hosts
Assist with promotional activities as required
Qualifications: An outgoing personality combined with amazing “people skills”
Knowledge of horse racing and betting procedures a definite asset
The ability to deal with difficult situations

Hours of work: 0-25 hours per week, shifts vary
Duties: Take bets and cash winning tickets
Operate a Pari-Mutuel Tote machine
Responsible for cash float
Provide outstanding customer service
Qualifications: Cash handling skills are required
Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of horse racing and betting procedures is an asset
Must possess the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
Must be 18 years of age or older

Responsible for cash float
